Date:  Sunday, October 9, 2016 – Blackjack Tournament Registration will be at 7AM – 9AM. Tournament begins at 10AM.



Blackjack Tournament. 

Eligibility/Buy-In: 8 hours of cumulative play in the month of September qualifies for tournament entry. Registration is on a first come first serve basis between 7AM – 9AM on Sunday, October 9th, 2016. Tournament entries will be capped at 210 players.

Tournament begins at 10AM

Payout:  1st through 6th place.

In the event the 210 seat limit is not reached, seats may be offered at a $100 buy-in based upon availability.

$8,000 will be added to the prize pool. 

100% of buy-ins returned in cash prizes.


Logistics of Tournament:


Round One - 180 Players

5 sessions: 10:00 AM, 10:45 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:15 PM and 1:00 PM.

6 blackjack tables - 6 players at each table. 

6 top chip counts will also move to second round. All chip counts documented

Highest chip total at each table will advance to Round Two (36 total).

  • If no sell out, the second round will be filled with highest chip totals from their previous rounds.

1 session - 2:15 PM. 

6 tables - 6 players at each

$2000 in tournament chips

18 hands – count down at 15

Highest chip total at each table will advance to the Championship Round (6 total).


The Championship Round – 6 players

1 session – 4:00 PM. 

1 table – with 6 players

$3000 in tournament chips

18 hands – count down at 15

  • 1st Place                              $4,000 plus 40% of cash buy-ins 
  • 2nd Place              $2,000 plus 20% of cash buy-ins
  • 3rd Place                              $800 plus 15% of cash buy-ins
  • 4th Place                              $600 plus 10% of cash buy-ins
  • 5th Place                              $400 plus 9% of cash buy-ins
  • 6th Place                              $200 plus 6% of cash buy-ins






  1. No refunds except in the event that the tournament is cancelled by Management.
  2. The official tournament language is English; no conversation in any other language is permitted.  No communication either verbal or visual will be permitted between players and the spectators.  Harsh or profane language to staff or other players will not be tolerated and are grounds for disqualification.  No written, printed or mechanical aids are allowed during play. 
  3. Players must keep their hands in plain sight at all times.
  4. Players must be seated during play. 
  5. All chips must be kept in plain sight and stacked in order.  Highest chips first, lowest chips to follow. 
  6. Chips may not be removed from the table for any reason. 
  7. Players may play only one hand and must play the circle in front of them.
  8. Once a bet is placed in the betting circle, it cannot be changed. 
  9. All bets must be placed in even dollar increments. (no coin for BJ’s)
  10. A numbered lammer will determine the hand number in each session and the betting order. 
  11. The lammers will begin the session at natural first base with number 1 and move clockwise around the table as the hands are dealt through hand eighteen (18). 
  12. At the point on a table when only the number of players remain that would naturally advance to the next round, the game will be declared finished and those players will advance without further hands being dealt. 
  13. All players’ cards will be delivered face up from a shoe.
  14. Players will not be allowed to handle the cards.   
  15. Blackjack pays two (2) to one (1).
  16. Insurance will not be offered but players will be offered even money for blackjack.
  17. Tournament prize money will be paid in vouchers following the Championship round final session. 
  18. All decisions regarding the interpretation of rules, eligibility, etc. lie solely with Casino and its Management whose decisions are final.
  19. All disputes must be handled at the tournament table before players leave the table. 
  20. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the management is final.
  21. Isle Casino Hotel, Black Hawk blackjack rules apply. 



  1. All players must arrive at the tournament tables at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled session time. 
  2. Before each round begins, the floor person will be given table assignment cards indicating the players name and position. 
  3. Players must present photo ID when seated, no alternates are permitted.  (DEALERS CHECK EACH PLAYERS ID)
  4. The Tournament Organizer(s) will attempt to place an equal number of players at each table.
  5. All Tournament rounds will last for 18 hands.  Players must play every hand. 
  6. After 15 hands all chips are counted down and logged
  7. It is the player’s responsibility to communicate his/her desired action with the dealer. 
  8. When it is a player’s turn to bet, the player must place his/her bet within ten (10) seconds, and if he/she fails to do so the dealer will place the minimum bet from the players’ remaining chips. 
  9. Dealers may pay bets in any denomination of chips they deem appropriate. 
  10. If a player has less than the minimum bet remaining, he/she must bet all remaining chips.
  11. If the player has no chips remaining he/she is eliminated from play.  
  12. No cards will be backed up under any circumstances. 
  13. If a dealer deals cards out of order and no one has acted upon their hand, all hands are dead and a re-deal will be declared. 
  14. When two or more players tie, 3 more hands are dealt to those players and the player with the largest amount of money left will advance or be declared the winner. Players may bet their entire bankroll on these three hands.
  15. Ten (10) winners will be selected via Radio Contest through Alice 105.9 for a chance to play against Slacker & Steve.


  1. Alice 105.9 will need to provide the names of the winners to the Isle Casino Hotel Black Hawk no later than 2:00pm on Friday, October 7, 2016.
  2. The ten (10) Winners will need to register per the tournament rules no later than 8:00am on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
  3. If the winners are not present by 8:00am, entry to the tournament will be forfeited.
  4. If either Slacker or Steve from Alice 105.9 wins a prize during the tournament, the prize will be donated to a charity of their choice.
