Beyoncé is a getting a thumbs up from one of her most important critics: daughter Blue Ivy. Queen Bey’s co-stars in The Lion King had a front row seat to the 7-year-old’s first reaction to Disney’s live-action reboot and report that she was impressed.

Donald Glover, who voices Simba in the movie, told Entertainment Tonight that Blue Ivy was narrating the whole thing during the west coast premiere. Seth Rogen, who voices Pumbaa, witnessed the same thing and said it was clear she was enamored by the cutting-edge visuals in the film.

“Very early in the movie I heard her just go, ‘Are they talking? I think she thought they were real animals,” Rogan recounted. “She thought it was real. 'Oh my God, they got these animals to talk! Disney is a powerful company.’”

Beyoncé stars as Nala in the The Lion King and just released the thundering ballad “Spirit” from the film. The track is also featured on The Lion King: The Gift, the album she is curating that is related to the film but separate.
