June 23, 2020

Your favorite K-pop boys are taking over the highly popular digital version of your favorite classic card game. BTS is adding their own flair to the digital version of UNO, but for a limited time only.

Mattel explains that the BTS takeover of the digital version of UNO will be a “limited in-game” experience for users. UNO players and BTS stans alike will have the option to get collectible BTS card sleeves, avatars, voice packs, and more. This add-on feature will be available on Apple, Android, and Facebook.

Additionally, there will be specific BTS-themed challenges and activities that will allow players to win tokens and take a crack at the very first virtual BTS-themed claw machine.

This digital edition of the BTS-centric UNO comes after Mattel released a tangible version of BTS UNO cards.

At the same time as their new UNO game is being released, it’s also been announced that the boy band has made another sizable donation to help those affected by the pandemic. Last week the group donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter.

Variety reported that BTS and their management company Big Hit Entertainment donated $1 million to Live Nation’s social change organization, Crew NationCrew Nation aims to support event and live show staff who have been greatly affected by COVID-19.

In a statement about their sizable donation BTS shared their sentiments, “if it weren’t for COVID-19, we would have been happily touring across the world with many of our live concert crews by now. We are aware that a lot of communities need help due to COVID-19, and we wanted to support the music industry crews by making a donation. We hope to meet again on stage very soon.”
