BJ & Jamie: All Aboard! (Audio)

This winter, skiing at Winter Park will only be a train ride away.  After being closed for seven years, the ski train will reopen and run from Denver Union Station to a new platform at Winter Park Ski Resort during ski season.  The train previously ran from 1940 to 2009 when it became too costly for a private operator to run.  Amtrak is now partnering with Winter Park to bring the train back.  In March of 2015, they did a test run for two days, and all the tickets sold out.  Officials are stating that the running of the train could reduce the traffic on I-70 by about 450 to 500 vehicles during peak traffic times during ski season.
