Today's OPP is from Sylvia:

Yi guys,

I have a 16 year old son that has been dating a girl for almost 6 months now. We are very honest with each other and he told me they haven't had relations yet but it will probably happen soon. I want to make sure everything goes smooth and they are doing things the right way, so I want to get condoms and provide them with a comfortable place for their first time. My husband says that making sure our son is protected is definitely a must, but he thinks the rest of my plan is weird. I remember being a girl that age and how scared I was of getting caught and how terrible it made the whole experience. I think if we let them know that having relations is completely natural and something that every human does, it make the experience so much better for them. Is it weird to make sure that your child is safe and comfortable?

If this were your son, how would you handle this situation?

Today's ‪OPP‬ involves parents who disagree on the best way to handle their 16 year-old son's relationship. One parent believes providing raincoats is fine, but that providing a safe space goes too far. What would you say to these parents?
