An author has told how he almost died while researching his latest book - after inhaling microscopic spores in his late grandfather's art work. Martin Greenwood was rushed to hospital and spent six days in an induced coma in intensive care while doctors investigated the cause of his collapse. When he regained consciousness, doctors told him he had suffered an allergic reaction after breathing in the spores which were contained in the 100-year-old paper. Why shouldn’t you be alive?
